Messi and Xavi along with Barca won five titles this year with the only loss of the Copa del Rey trophy due to a single goal Ronaldo in the final. Even if Barca are the acknowledged world's best team, but Petit considers more Ronaldo deserves the Ballon d'Or trophy.

"But I prefer Ronaldo and God knows if I also like the two other candidates! Madrid play a little more complex than Barcelona, but Ronaldo has an impressive statistical record."
Ronaldo posted 53 goals in 54 matches in all competitions along with Los Blancos in the year 2010-11. But Barca continued to dominate Real Madrid in La Liga and Champions League.
